I survived!
So I finally gained my strength back to let you all know how my "black friday" shopping went. I got to Walmart about 2am and found the line I needed to stand in and waited. I made a few friends while in line there, and I'm surprised they could hear me because I had started to lose my voice. My dad met me there at about 3am and went and stood in a different line for me. Everything was pretty mellow for a couple of hours, but when 5 o'clock hit, you knew! It was like a swarm of bats had come swooping in! From there on out it was pure chaos! I was clear in the back of the store and couldn't really tell how many people were in the store. And I don't know why but it really shocked me to see all the people as I was leaving. All I could think was ' Man these people are nuts!' and I was one of them!

What am I thinking!!!
So here it is 11:30 at night on thanksgiving and I'm staying awake ALL night so I can participate in this black friday event. Am I crazy?? Definitely!! Will I regret it? I hope not! I guess we'll find out if it was really worth it. My job is still going pretty good except they took away our employee discounts, so sorry Katy and Cindy. I don't get anything cheaper than anyone else now. *sigh* Mike seems to be handling the boys ok for right now, but he still has two hands also. We'll see how it goes with only one hand! It also looks like he may still be able to work after his surgery teaching a training class so hopefully that works out. Well I have to go find some energy so I can fight off all the other crazy people in a few hours. I'll post how it all goes after I regain my strength.

Working girl
For those of you who didn't know I now have a job at Mervyn's. I needed to find something so we could survive while Mike is off work for a month. He'll be having surgery for a cist on his wrist. Anyways, it gives me a break from the kids for a little bit so maybe I can regain some of my sanity. It's fun so far. I'm doing a little bit of everything right now, but I think they mainly want me in customer service. It's been a lot like Albertson's just without the groceries. And Albertson's wasn't going out of business! Lol! I think that about it on what's been going on in our lives for the past month. I'll do my best to keep this updated.

Halloween
I know, I know... I'm almost a holiday late with these! I'm trying to play catch up. So halloween was pretty fun. I don't think the boys were quite sure on what the heck was going on, but maybe next year we'll take them around to trick- or- treat and they'll understand. A little! They weren't quite sure what to think about the pumpkin guts at first. And even after a while they still didn't want to touch them, but they had fun scooping up the seeds and putting them back in the pumpkin after i had scooped them out!

The reasoning behind the cribs
I think I figured out why we have two cribs. It's to make mom look like an idiot and look like she doesn't know what she's talking about! So naturally after I posted the last blog I went in to check on the boys like I always do only this time they were both in Kodiak's crib. They just had to prove to me that they use both cribs I guess. I can't wait to see what I find tonight!

Why do we have two cribs again???
I've been trying to figure out why we still have both the cribs up lately. When we put the boys to bed at night we put them in their own crib, kiss them goodnight, shut the light off and close the door. But every time I go in to check on them now they are always in Kalsin's crib! Apparently it's the most comfortable out of the two! I'm not exactly sure what to think about those two. They fight ALL day long (pushing, hitting each other, stealing the others toy) but at night you would think that they are the best of friends by sleeping in the same bed and sometimes cuddling up with each other. I don't get it! So again I ask... Why do we have two cribs again???

Finally some mommy time! (literally)
Last night my mom and I attended the Reba & Kelly concert. It was so much fun! I got to have a night away from the boys, spend time with my mom AND hear two wonderful singers! It was pretty different from other concerts I've been to. They were both on the stage the entire time, singing together, instead of switching back and forth. Our seats weren't all that great but we were able to move down about half way through the show to much better seats.

Retraction
In the last blog I had said that the boys were really good about staying in their beds at night since we took the rails down. Well I guess they had to prove me wrong! I went to check on them last night and opened the door and hit Kalsin in the head because he was laying right behind the door. I put him in bed and looked for Kodiak and found him asleep in the closet! Tonight I found them both in the same bed.

Big Boy Beds
We decided to put the potty training on hold for a little bit. We took the gate down that we had in the bathroom and the boys are way more interested in playing around in the bathroom than using the potty. The tub is by far the most interesting place in the whole house right now, so once they get over that excitement we'll try the potty training again. Instead we graduated the boys to big boy beds! We took the side rails off and put the little side guards on, so now they can crawl in and out of their beds anytime they want. Yikes!!! They're actually doing pretty good with it. It's only been two days and I've found them in their cribs both nights when I checked in on them. Kalsin just discovered how to open the door tonight however, so we had to put a child lock on it so he couldn't escape.

Surprise Mom!!!
So we started out the day like we always do. Get up, get breakfast, play until lunch time and eat lunch. After lunch I let the boys out of their high chairs to go play while I cleaned up a bit. I had taken their clothes off so they wouldn't get food all over them and when I was done cleaning I went to go look for the boys to put their clothes back on them. I walked into their room only to find that they had taken their diapers off and were playing in poop! Not only was it all over the floor, but all over the wall on a few toys and yes, all over them! Needless to say they got a bath a little earlier than scheduled! But wait, the fun didn't stop there! After their bath I put diapers on them and went to get some clothes before another little mishap. But I was too late. Kodiak had taken his diaper off yet again and had started peeing on the curtains in the living room! My night is going to be busy cleaning floors, curtains, and toys. I hope this potty training thing moves along quickly!

Potty Training
Well we've officially started potty training today. What a joy! We bought the boys some new little potties and they are more interested in taking them apart then using them! (Thank you dad for putting that in our genes!) They did use them once already though, right before bedtime. Hopefully they'll catch on quick. I'm not sure who it's going to be tougher on, us or the boys!!!
